Terms of Use

Last updated · Jul 8, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Hover website, documentation, open-source tools, and Hover Cloud (together, the “Service”), operated by Hyperyond. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

What Hover is

Hover is a regression-testing workflow: open-source, local authoring tools (the @hover-dev/mcp server and the VS Code extension) plus Hover Cloud, an optional hosted dashboard over the tests you already own. Your specs run in your own CI; Cloud reads the results.

Open-source components

The Hover MCP, extension, and engine are released under the Apache-2.0 license. Your use of that code is governed by that license, which controls over these terms with respect to the code itself.

Hover Cloud accounts

To use Hover Cloud you sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for your account, for activity under it, and for the accuracy of the access you grant. Keep your credentials secure and connect only repositories and data you are authorized to.

Early access

Hover Cloud is in early access and free during this period. Features may change, break, or be discontinued, and there is no service-level or uptime guarantee. We may introduce paid plans later; we will give notice before charging you.

Your data and content

You retain all rights to your specs, test results, and other data you send to Hover Cloud. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Don’t use the Service unlawfully, or to store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
  • Don’t attempt to breach, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
  • Don’t misuse the hosted Service to reverse-engineer it beyond what the open-source license permits, or resell it without our permission.
  • Use the security-testing capabilities only against applications you own or are authorized to test.

Third-party services

The Service integrates with GitHub and with your own CI and coding agents. Your use of those is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will catch every defect in your software.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hyperyond will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, surface a notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hyperyond is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
